This followed numerous complaints by residents who notified the police of the immoral activities taking place in the club.

Ten other cohorts were arrested when the police raided the club at around 12am on Thursday.

One of the police officers who sought anonymity revealed that such cases have been reported across the county in many night clubs that have continued to flout the alcohol regulation act.

“We have received such tip offs in Kikuyu, Thika, Limuru and Githunguri. We will work to see that such cases are brought to an end and those behind them brought to book,”he said.

Parents have therefore been urged to know their children’s whereabouts especially during this period when schools have been closed.

Reliable independent sources claimed that young girls especially school-going age have been engaging in the vice in search of meagre payments of as little as Sh50.

Kiambu police boss Stephen Ng’etich, condemned the vice and warned those flouting the laid down rules will face the law.

Kiambu County Alcoholic Drinks Control director, Michael Kangethe, warned all unlicensed bar owners and added that the case the bar owners presented to the court has been dismissed.

“We want to warn all unlicensed and licensed bar owners against indulging in illegal practices. We will not watch as you tarnish the image of the county. Such cases will not be tolerated. No license, no operations,” reaffirmed Kangethe.
