10 teachers and candidate were on Friday aligned to Keroka Law court where they were charged with conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to section 393 of the penal code.
The ten teachers Joseph Nyachio, Caren Nyakeriga, Dina Nyachoka, James Atuti, Risper Omae, Jane Gesare, Gladys Kwamboka, Caren Okenyuri, and a minor who is a candidate are said to have committed the offence on 1st day of November 2016 at St Andrews Kaggwa Boys Boarding Primary School in Nyamira County where they conspired together to commit a felony namely copying at an examination contrary to section 32(c) of the Kenyan national examination council act No 29 0f 2012 Cap 225A laws of Kenya reads the charge sheet.
The candidate who is a minor was charged separately for copying English language examination from notes that were found in possession within the examination room 2.
The resident magistrate Njoki Kihara gave the teachers a bond of Sh300,000 or surety of similar amount or a cash bail of Sh100,000.
The candidate was given a bond of Sh100,000 or a surety of similar amount or a cash bail of Sh50,000.
The case will be mentioned on 17 November and heard on 3rd April 2017.
