A young boy in Nairobi has been operated for his scrotum to be removed after allegedly being raped by his own father.
According to the mother of this boy, her son has been in and out of hospital since he was sodomised.
The boy who had been sent home from school to buy exercise books was left at home by his mother who separated from his father for four years now.
After the mother came back from her hustles, she found him lying still on the floor. The boy had decided to visit his father after being home alone and the father is believed to have sodomised him.
She found her standard four pupil lying in a pool of smelly liquid.
She thought that the smell was coming from under the carpet, only to realize it was his son smelling from behind.
“I thought the smell was coming from under the plastic carpet. I called him but he did not respond. I turned him over and noticed that his eyes were popped out, so I called for help and rushed him to a nearby pharmacy,” narrated the mother.
“He has never gone back to school since he was sodomised. He has been passing pus and a smelly liquid. He has just been discharged from hospital again today,” continued the mother in a faint tone.
However, what surprised her is the fact that her son had to lose his scrotum as a result of the infection that developed from the raping. The boy used to cry whenever passing urine, a condition his mother thought would go away.
“I thought it would go away, but after three days, the condition was worse. When I took him to hospital, the doctor told me he needed surgery urgently to remove one of his scrotums, which had suffered trauma,” she said.
However, the father denied these allegations citing that it could be because of the poor relationship he has with the boy’s mother.
“We interrogated the man and he claimed that his wife was framing him because of the shaky relationship they had,” said an officer at Kariobangi Police Post.
