Kisii Governor James Ongwae has flagged off drugs to more than 100 health facilities in the county.
The consignment of drugs, worth about Sh26 million, is meant to address the current short in dispensaries in Kisii, according to the governor.
Some of the facilities that benefited include nine sub-county hospitals, all level four hospitals and the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
“My administration is improving service delivery in the health sector by improving challenges facing the sector,” Ongwae said.
Some of the medicine supplied include family planning drugs, anti-malaria drugs, HIV/Aids test kits and general medicine.
The drugs were purchased from the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa).
