Rivalry between Raila Odinga and DP William Ruto could further escalate as the two flex muscles ahead of 2022 polls.
While Raila has not openly declared his interest, Ruto on the other hand has descended on opposition strongholds including pouching of key ODM politicians.
Over the weekend, the two shared podium in Nyamira and Narok where their political differences dominated both functions.
And after the Narok function, Ruto would be joined by two ODM governors in Ugandan capital, Kampala where he was feted with Young Achievers award.
Both Governors Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia) and Josephat Nanok (Turkana) accompanied Ruto to Ugandan State House where they held meetings with President Yoweri Museveni.
Mr. Nanok, a second term governor and a close ally of Odinga, has been hosting DP Ruto lately. He also serves as ODM Vice Chair.
On the other hand, Ojaamong once served as Raila's PA and is married to Oburu Oginga's daughter, thus he's son-in-law to Raila.
Early this month, Ojaamong hosted Ruto at his Busia rural home, a meeting which elicited sharp debate on social media.
