The dances and music came with different names, for example, 'Kamandiko', 'Kilumi', 'Mbalya', 'Mwali' among others.

Every music category was played on different occasions like weddings, circumcision, burial and harvesting.

Today we have the Kamba night craze which is one of the most celebrated occasions in Ukambani.

The party which mostly brings forth Kamba people from all corners of the Ukambani region is a sign of unity, reminding Kamba people about "kithio" (tradition) and other values.

Most of these nights are held in different towns like Nairobi, Kitui, Machakos town, Mlolongo, Wote and even in Mombasa.

Kamba people are distributed all over Kenya especially in major towns.

The nights also bring people from other tribes, races and countries who are willing to be part of the Kamba culture.

Local radio stations like Musyi FM, Mbaitu FM and Athiani have held the nights like every year in different towns recently.

Apart from beautiful Kamba ladies, here the 3 things you can't miss during the party;

1. Kaluvú/Múatine.

This is the most loved Kamba traditional brew. 'Kaluvú' is very vital during Kamba occasions and is a vital delicacy in any Kamba traditional practice like 'Ntheo' (dowry payment). People enjoy it during Kamba nights.

2.Líú wa kíthio (Traditional foods)

These foods include 'Muthokoi', 'Malenge' (pumpkins),'Manga' (cassava), 'kinaa' (mixture or wheat flour and milk), 'yiia' (milk) and 'Uki wa Nzuki' (honey). They represent the Kamba tradition and diversity.

3.Benga  Music

Several popular Kamba Benga artists are always available. A party without music is not a party according to Kamba people.

Popular artist like Ken wa Maria, Kativui, Kithungo raha, Karanga Lazima, Vuusya Uungu, Katombi, and many more are always invited. It happens from dusk to dawn
