Kisii County Assembly Deputy Speaker Davins Onuso on Wednesday spoke on the appointment of the Interior CS Fred Matiang'i as the chair of the committee to coordinate all national government projects.
Onuso, who also doubles up as the Masige East MCA congratulated CS Matiang'i following the appointment that has been deemed to be a promotion.
Pundits have argued that the CS has since earned more power in government as a result of his tenacity and commitment to deliver on his mandate throughout his tenure across different dockets.
"We congratulate Dr Matiang'i as he assumes more responsibility in Government. We are proud of his work and indeed thank the President for trusting him to this new position. We believe he will deliver to and wish him the best now and even in his future plans to continue with his commitment to transform Kenya," stated the Deputy Speaker.
He was addressing a meeting comprising of a section of the county MCAs and the house leadership terming the Interior CS as a leader with an exemplary track record.
Kisii Governor James Ongwae was also in attendance with a host of members of the Kisii County CECs.

Onuso, an eloquent speaker is among leaders seeking to join the National Assembly in 2022. In December last year, he declared his interest for the Bobasi Constituency currently being held by the reserved and soft-spoken Innocent Obiri.
