Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has finally broken his silence on the shocking murder of Sharon Otieno, a second year student at Rongo University in Migori.
Haji says anyone who will be implicated in the murder will be arrested and arraigned in court.
He said that his office will not spare anyone whether big or small.
The DPP said that he is waiting for the investigative file from the police to act.
"Police are still doing investigations and once they are through we will make a decision to charge basing on the evidence provided," he said on Sunday when he met HAKI AFRICA Group officials n Mombasa.
Haji who hails from Garissa said that his office is keenly following investigations into Sharon's murder.
The DPP asked Kenyans to stop speculation on the murder and allow police time to complete investigations.
Sharon's body was discovered on Wednesday last week, two days after she was abducted along with Nation Reporter Barrack Oduor.
Odour managed to escape and is being treated as a suspect in the murder.
An autopsy on Sharon's body carried out on Friday, revealed that she was stabbed eight times.
The report revealed that she died as a result of excessive bleeding.
Sharon's seven months unborn baby was also wouded by the stabs and died.
The family has linked Migori Governor Okoth Obado to her murder.
The family alleges that Sharon was pregnant for Governor Obado.
Governor Obado has refuted the claims, saying he has no hand in the murder.
Police are holding Obado's Personal Assistant (PA) Michael Oyamo and two other suspects in relation to the shocking murder.
