Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni has asked cartels to keep of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji.
Okong'o while speaking in Kisii town on Saturday said the DPP should continue working closely with Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to apprehend corrupt government officers.
"I am requesting cartels to keep of Haji's work because he was appointed to office to serve Kenyans and not thieves. So far Haji is doing a commendable job in the graft war," he said.
The ODM allied senator urged the DPP to probe the distribution of medical equipment to county hospitals.
According to the vocal senator, the supply of medical equipment to counties was not done in a free and fair manner.
"My special appeal to DPP is to probe the supply of medical equipment to hospitals in counties because the distribution of the machines was not done fairly. Kenyans need to know if money was lost so that offenders can face the law," he added.
Omogeni assured that elected leaders from Gusii region will continue condemning corruption because graft derails development.
He also urged politicians to focus on quality service delivery and shun divisive politics.
