Whether he is jailed or acquitted, according to Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo, the county boss stands no chance of redeeming his image as a politician.

Obado was on Monday remanded at the Industrial Area remand prison after he pleaded not guilty to the charges of aiding and abetting the murder of his seven months pregnant girlfriend, Sharon Otieno.

Milimani Law Courts Judge Jessie Lessit is today expected to issue a ruling on the governor's bail application.

But in an exclusive interview on Citizen TV, Odhiambo said in case Obado is freed on bond; it will be difficult for him to carry on with his duties as the current saga has put his character and integrity in question.

"It will be very difficult for the governor to continue with his duties as usual in case he is granted bail. There are a lot of issues hanging over his head," she noted.

The MP, who is a lawyer, asked the court to complete the case on time, saying many Kenyans were closely monitoring the proceedings since the case was not just like any other one.

"The judiciary needs to up their game to ensure that this case is not delayed on purpose. All our eyes are on the judiciary and how they perform on this case," Odhiambo said.
