A section of leaders from Gusii have asked Deputy President William Ruto to stop dragging NASA leader Raila Odinga into Jubilee wrangles.
Kisii County Governor James Ongwae on Monday, while speaking at Kereri Girls high school, said DP Ruto should stop blaming Raila for the wrangles in Jubilee party.
"The former Prime Minister has nothing to do with Jubilee wrangles. I am urging DP Ruto to stop dragging Raila into the problems Jubilee party is facing," he said.
Ongwae said Raila's referendum calls have scared DP William Ruto ahead of the 2022 politics.
A Kisii based ODM politician Samuel Omwando said DP Ruto is not an equal to Raila Odinga.
"DP Ruto should stop loitering across the country spreading propaganda about the ODM party leader. Propaganda won't make him president in 2022," he said.
Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi said DP Ruto can't win presidency in 2022.
"Ruto is scared because Mt. Kenya region will abandon him in 2022 and now he is trying to attack Raila so that he can remain relevant politically. It is his time to face political humiliation," stated the ODM MCA.
Vincent Ariemba Riana ward MCA said Ruto's claims that the historic handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila has made Jubilee party to collapse are false.
"The handshake has nothing to do with the Jubilee party wrangles. Ruto should prepare for a humiliating defeat in 2022," said the Wiper Party MCA.
