The Member County Assembly of Kibaoni Ward Erick Ngunzi has issued a check of Sh2 million to needy students in the area.

Speaking during the issuing of the bursaries in Katulani Primary School, Ngunzi encouraged the needy students to work hard despite the material lack as the government was aimed at supporting them. 

"Education will be improved if the needy students who are willing to learn are empowered and their school fees paid so as to achieve their educational goals and become responsible citizens," said Ngunzi.

Speaking during the Bursary issuance, was Kibauni Ward Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Chair who is also a member of Ward Development Fund Committee called upon the governor to ensure WDF is issued soon. 

"We urge the governor together with his government to fast track WDF issuing to the Wards so that the developments projects are begun on time, "she said.

A similar exercise went on in Mua Ward where 469 secondary and University students benefited from Sh2 million bursary Funds.

However in this area many parents complained that they had applied but hadn't received the patents.
