The two have also been all over the media lately but on most occasions, for negative reasons and reasons, many would like to forget once they come out in 2022.

One of them is Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti who a fortnight ago survived a petition mounted against his 2017 reelection by his main challenger Oyugi Magwanga.

County residents came out in large numbers to protest the Supreme Court ruling, while a lawmaker from the county also confirmed that he has performed dismally in the 7 years he had been in office.

Speaking on local radio on Thursday, Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma said that the Governor has not done anything meaningful for his people and should kill up his socks.

Also likely to leave behind a terrible history is Migori County boss Okoth Obado whose second tenure is stained by a criminal record and court tussles.

Though no one has questioned his track record, however good it will most likely be overshadowed by his alleged involvement in the murder of beauty queen Sharon Otieno.

The death which happened in September last year saw the county boss spend a month in remand, only weeks before he was again arrested for allegedly being in possession of guns illegally.

He is also facing several graft cases which might follow him even after completing his term.

The other governor is Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga who narrowly beat his rival Nicholas Gumbo in 2017 general elections.
