Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has revealed that the reason why she was elected unposed is good leadership and initiation of development projects to serve her subjects, in line with her promises during the campaign period.
"I did a good job after my first election in 2013 forming the basis for my unopposed reelection in 2017," she said in an interview on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, Monday morning.
She has enlisted herself among the best performing elected leaders in the nation.
She said that was the reason for her reelection in the 2017 general polls where she was the only one in the race after all the other aspirants kept off the contest.
She added that she will keep on doing the same and will even better her services to her people in to express her gratitude for their trust in her.
"They have twice entrusted me to lead them because they believe in me and I will give back to them by giving them the service they deserve," she added.
She poked holes into claims that she is eyeing the Homa Bay gubernatorial seat in the 2022 polls.
Wanga maintained that she would rather concentrate on her current seat in the meantime and will make other decisions when the time nears.
