The traders on Saturday morning, while speaking at the market, said the market is located at a dangerous place.

"The market is near the road and we are in fear because vehicles may lose control to kill us. The governor should consider relocating the market so that we can continue with our businesses in peace," said Zipporah Nyarangi.

Another trader Gladys Nyanchera claimed that vehicles have killed traders at the market due to its closeness to the road.

"Traders crossing the road have been killed innocently with careless drivers. Nyagarama should move with speed to ensure the market is relocated immediately," said Nyanchera.

Riang'a Makori threatened that if the county government will not take in the traders' appeal, no tax will be paid to the county.

"We are ready to stop paying taxes to the county government to f Nyamira if our needs won't be addressed. No trader will pay tax if the county will not look for an alternative," said Makori.
