Speaking at Kakoneni Girls High School where he went to inspect learning activities, Matiangi revealed on Monday that yesterday the programme will start immediately.
He said providing data storage facilities that would enable students and teachers to prepare for lessons and ease the use of hard copies.
According to the plan, head teachers, their deputies as well as academic heads will be provided with laptops and will file constant progress reports to education officials regularly.
"Teachers will be able to update and store data in real time and this will promote transparency and accountability," he said.
Teachers will also get desks, lockers and cabinets to ensure comfort in their work.
The CS also gave Kakoneni girls Sh15 million to be used in upgrading infrastructure as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
