At least 100,000 people among them President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President-elect William Ruto are expected to attend burial for the Eldoret Catholic Diocese Bishop Cornelius Korir.The mass will be held at the Eldoret Sports club on Saturday beginning 10.00am.According to Father Fredrick Njoroge who is in charge of communications at Eldoret Catholic Diocese, the body of Bishop Korir will leave the Sacred Heart Cathedral grounds at 8am.The body was moved to the Cathedral from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary on Friday for public viewing.During the burial mass, very few people will be allowed to speak before the body is driven back to the Sacred Heart Cathedral for burial in accordance with Catholic Church doctrines."We expect to complete mass and speeches at Eldoret Sports club by 3.00pm where we will head back to the cathedral for the burial," said Fr Njoroge on Friday."Only selected people and accredited media crew will be allowed inside the cathedral compound but then not all will be inside the Cathedral where the Bishop will be laid to rest," he added.Several roads in Eldoret town are expected to be closed during the burial mass to allow free traffic flow to and from the burial venue with vehicles expected to park at Uasin Gishu Primary school, about 4km from the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
