Embakasi East legislator Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino has revealed what he discussed with the speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly upon his arrival to Budapest.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Owino noted that the meeting was also attended by National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.
"I arrived safely in Budapest on my 5-day official visit representing the National Assembly of the Republic of Kenya. Today, Speaker Justin Muturi and I met with Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Hon Laslo Kover where we discussed the importance of democracy in giving voice to all members of the society," posted Owino.
Owino is an astute human right and social right defender who has had the interests of youth at heart since his time as a university student leader.
The vocal MP further noted that he intends to meet Kenyans living in Hungary for further engagements.
During the meeting, Speaker Muturi extended Kenya's invitation to the Hungarian counterpart to grace the National Prayer Breakfast to be held in May.
The Kenyan delegation to Hungary comprises of the Speaker Muturi, Owino, Uasin Gishu Women Representative Gladys Boss Shollei, Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni his Endebess counterpart Robert Pukose and National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai.
