Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndidi Nyoro has said that Deputy President William Ruto will shame his critics in the forthcoming 2022 general election.
Nyoro states that those frustrating Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid will have nowhere to hide their shame when he takes over leadership in 2022.
Speaking on KTN’s Check-point on Sunday night, Nyoro said that certain political forces are working hard to block Ruto’s 2022 bid but said they will not succeed.
The MP claimed that Ruto is being fought for declaring interest in the 2022 presidential election and because he does not come from the political dynasties.
“Ruto just like any other Kenya has a right to contest for the presidency, we don’t understand why some people are determined to block him (Ruto)," he said during the interview.
The vocal youthful MP said that they will not stop pushing for his (Ruto's) presidency no matter the intimidation and criticism they are alleegdly receiving.
Nyoro said that Mt Kenya owes Ruto a big debt, adding that they will work to make sure he ascends to power min 2022.
The Kiharu MP is among politicians associated to the tanga tanga movement that is pushing for Ruto’s presidency.
On Sunday, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mwangi Kiunjuri joined the succession debate assuring Ruto of Mt Kenya’s support in 2022 election.
Kiunjuri’s assurance to Ruto comes days after Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli claimed that Ruto’s name will not be on the presidential ballot in 2022.
