Garissa Township MP Aden Duale on Sunday shared a video of him playing football at the Sansiro Sports Centre, Garissa Town.
Duale officially opened the newly-built sports centre on April 7 and played a football match with the youths from the county.
During the match, the National Assembly Leader of Majority managed to score two goals while playing as a striker during the celebrated match.
The MP, who could not hide his excitement, shared a video on his Twitter account after scoring the goals.
“As a striker and captain, I managed to score two goals as we played at the new Sansiro Sports Centre, Garissa. The stadium will provide the youths with an alternative productive activity that will deter them from engaging in illegal acts,” posted Duale on twitter.
Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) congratulated Duale for scoring the goals but some were quick to remind him that his party, Jubilee, had promised to build more stadiums across the country.
Others said the facility will help the youths to nurture their talents instead of joining terror groups like Al-Shabaab.
