Harambee Stars' preparations ahead of their AFCON qualifier match against Ethiopia have been affected, with reports indicating that the government is yet to release funds.
The team is set to travel to Bahir Dar to face the hosts on October 10, before playing host three days later on October 14th.
Coach Sebastien Migne has already named his provisional squad, which is expected to report to camp in preparations for the two matches.
FKF had budgeted the two matches against Ethiopia for Sh26m and, and reports from within the federation indicate that there is little going on in regards to the preparation.
“We are stranded, we cannot plan beyond what we don’t have and things are now becoming difficult,” the source told Goal on Wednesday.
“We are not sure when the professionals will start arriving because they need tickets to travel and we don’t have the same, the team is supposed to move to camp and we don’t have the cash. The head coach is also demanding for a two months’ salary, in short, everything is in disarray.”
The team kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the tournament with a 1-0 win at home against Ghana's Black Stars and will hope to continue with the momentum.
In the other group fixtures, Ghana plays against Sierra Leon.
