Royal Media Services (RMS) seems to have changed on how it is covering the case facing one of its employees.
Contrary to previous cases where RMS outlets identified its senior reporter and news anchor Jacque Maribe as ‘Journalist Jacque Maribe’, on Wednesday Citizen TV identified itself with the murder suspect.
Here is how it reported her appearance before Justice James Wakiaga for a bail application.
Also, more journalists from Citizen TV were in court on Wednesday in solidarity with the prolific journalist.
Among those captured hugging and consoling, Jacque is Citizen TV senior reporter Francis Gachuri and Faiza Wanjiru.
Maribe, together with her lover Joseph Kuria Irungu alias Jowie, are facing charges over the murder of Monica Kimani.
The two suspects have been remanded in custody until October 24 when their case on bail application will be heard.
The hearing will take place starting at 11:30 am.
Justice Wakiaga also directed that the probation officer prepares a report on bail.
Wakiaga caused a laughter in court when he said that he does not trust either the prosecutor or the defense on the matter of bail application hence need for a report from the probation officer.
