Speaking on Radio Nam Lolwe Saturday morning, the former Kasipul lawmaker claimed that the governor has done close to nothing and will leave no legacy upon retirement.

He said that not even a single administration block has come up since he took over, rating his performance at between one and two over ten marks.

"He has not even built a single structure during his tenure, not even an administration block. Even his ward administrators are operating on motorbikes due to no offices," he said.

Magwanga said that so dire is the situation that Awiti and his officials have been forced to lie to auditors during audits, and has severally given wrong information.

He made an allegation that at one point he took images of s local hotel and gave them out as a recently completed youth polytechnic to auditors to protect himself from blame.

"At one point he took images of a hotel which we all know and which is in the county and gave them out saying that they are images of a youth polytechnic he has constructed," he added.

Magwanga claimed that the same is the case in road construction, alleging that Awiti has been using images of roads taken from other counties and passing them out as some of his projects

Asked if he can prove the claims, he said that he has proof and is not out to settle political scores.

The two faced off in both the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) primaries and the main elections, with Awiti beating Magwanga who later vied as an independent candidate.
