From the moment the former Jubilee party vice-chairman David Murathe made claims that Central Kenya has no political debt,  politicians from both sides have come to support or dismiss the statement.

One of the politicians in the Jubilee camp, the Laikipia Women representative Catherine Waruguru, has come out to deny the allegations.

Waruguru says Mt Kenya region has a debt to pay since Uhuru made the pledge during campaigns.

According to Waruguru, Uhuru, after his second term, is expected to back DP Ruto for another two terms.

She went ahead to cite a scenario where she claims Kibaki had "betrayed " Raila and now wants Central Kenya to stop the politics of betrayal.

"I want to remind my fellow Kenyans that the president and his deputy made a pledge in public that they will do work for the Citizens of this nation. The president said that he will serve for 10 years and support Ruto for ten years.  I want you to tell me whether that is true or not," recalled Waruguru.

She further noted that "the betrayal in the Republic of Kenya more so starting with the Kikuyu nation, has to stop and must come to an end."
