Safarilink Airline is the new kid on the block, after the launch ceremony at the Kisumu International Airport.

Safari Link will be operating two daily flights from Nairobi to Kisumu at a cost of Sh3, 500 and a return ticket of Sh7, 000 with bookings done online, or at Safarilink’s offices located at West End Mall in Kisumu.

Kisumu County Chief Executive Member (CEC) in charge of Transport Thomas Ondijo said the arrival of Safari Link to Kisumu should be seen as offering a welcome relief to travelers who contribute to the general economic well-being of the region.

“I am sure this is going to come with stability as well as spreading flight duration evenly through the day," he said.

Speaking during  the launch of the new airline, Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr Mathews Ochieng Owili said that Governor Professor Peter Anyang' Nyong'o will deliver a State of the County Report to the members of Kisumu county assembly on Thursday, with members of the public invited to attend.

The new airline now joins Kenya Airways, Jambo Jet, Fly 540 and Silverstone in operating from Kisumu to Nairobi on a daily basis.
