Families and friends of the deceased Moi University student, Ivy Wangechi, are still mourning the loss of a brilliant mind.
The late Ivy Wangechi who was murdered on April 9 at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital was a sixth-year medical student at the varsity's School of Medicine.
It has emerged that the late Wangechi was a brilliant girl back in school as she scored straight A’s in her KCSE.
"Ivy Wangechi, the sixth-year medical student who was brutally murdered in Eldoret on Tuesday, scored straight 'A's in Form Four" quoted by Daily Nation.
The suspect, Naftali Njahi Kinuthia is reportedly said to have been deeply engrossed in Wangechi. He was her former classmate but worked in Nairobi.
“Wangechi showed us the messages he had been sending to her expressing his love. She told us they were schoolmates in primary school but had lost touch until last year when they met on Facebook,” said her former friend as quoted by Daily Nation.
Kinuthia used a hand axe to attack Wangechi. He hacked her to death outside MTRH where she was a practising medical doctor.
