The vocal lawmaker who is on most occasions clad in the suit which has strips of the Kenyan flag colours has revealed that he is an environmental conservation campaigner who would like to see a greener Kenya.

Speaking on Radio Maisha on Tuesday morning, Sankok who is in parliament as a representative of persons living with disabilities urged Kenyans to emulate him, adding that they should better the same by planting as many trees as possible.

‘’Hii suti ina maana yake. Hii rangi ya kijani kibichi ni ya kuhamasisha watu walinde mazingira na ndio maana naipenda (the suit is symbolic. I use it to remind Kenyans to observe environmental conservation),’’ he said.

About the strips, Sankok said that they are meant to promote patriotism at a time when the nation is adopting a lot from the outside world.

He urged Kenyans to drop their obsession with foreign influence and products and support their own products and culture.

‘’Hizi rangi za bendera ya Kenya ni za kuwahimiza wakenya wawe wazalendo (the strips of Kenyan flag colours are to promote patriotism among Kenyans),’’ added the Jubilee Party ally.
