Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama is a among the vocal Kamba politicians.
Muthama is also among the wealthiest politicians in Ukambani.
The former Senator has, however, been caught up in family controversies pitting him and his estranged wife, Agnes Kavindu.
Muthama and Kavindu love-relationship story is like a movie script.
The two have over the past years engaged each other in court battles on their marriage.
The High Court recently issued orders evicting Kavindu from Muthama’s Mua home in Machakos County.
Kavindu has, however, appealed the order in Court of Appeal.
According to the Standard Digital, the High Court in its ruling said Kavindu never re-married to Muthama after the judicial dissolution of their marriage in 1983.
Muthama is said to have divorced Kavindu in 1983, five years after their legal marriage.
The former Senator is further said to have sent auctioneers to Kavindu’s family to recover his dowry after they parted ways in 1983.
The Standard Digital reports that Muthama demanded for refund of his dowry after Kavindu's father failed to appeal against a court order that dissolved their marriage.
Kavindu has insisted that she never divorced Muthama.
She argues that she is still the former senator’s wife and they have sired two children together.
In 2016, Kavindu hit headlines when he sued Muthama accusing him of evicting her from their matrimonial home.
Kavindu also accused the former Senator of allegedly disconnecting water and electricity to her home.
Muthama on the other hand has insisted that she divorced Kavindu and has nothing to do with her.
