Kenyatta is expected to land in Kisumu county for the official launch of the Universal Healthcare Coverage on Thursday, December 13.

But in an interview on Radio Maisha's 'Bunge La Maisha' Monday morning, Osiany noted that the Head of State should as well consider the plight of people who were injured or killed after his re-election in 2017.

Basing on the fact that human life is priceless, he stressed on the need for the families of the dead to be compensated as per the set guidelines, considering that most were felled by the police bullet.

"Hakuna kiasi cha hela kinachoweza kulipia maisha ya binadamu. Kwa sababu wengi walioaga walikuwa waandamanaji na waliuawa na polisi, basi walipwe kulingana na sharia zilizowekwa na serikali.

(Human life cannot be compensated. Let the families be compensated according to government guidelines as there is no amount that can make their families feel better)," he said.

The county was the main battleground for riot and face off between opposition supporters allied to opposition leader Raila Odinga and police officers.

This was after the former Prime Minister, the region's political kingpin, rejected the president's re-election, resulting in demonstrations that saw people killed and others maimed.

Odinga is expected to accompany the Head of State in the visit after their March 9 reconciliation.
