As the war on graft gains momentum, the allies of the Deputy President William Ruto have claimed that the whole thing is aimed at scuttling the DP’s 2022 presidential bid.
The group that is led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, who is also the Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, has come out guns blazing claiming that the war on graft is unfairly targeting Dr. Ruto.
However, conspicuously missing in the pro-Ruto team is Garissa Township MP and National Assembly Majority leader, Aden Duale.
A key Ruto ally, the Garissa Town lawmaker is the DP’s political rock and does not always shy away from defending him at any cost.
However, the last few days have seen the legislator assume an uncharacteristic silence on corruption matters.
Duale's absence comes in the context of an escalating civil war in Jubilee over the war on corruption.
The legislator has been spending most of his time in Garissa engaging with his constituents.
