Muluka's stay at the position has been challenged by nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi who argues that he was unconstitutionally ousted.

The case has since landed to court from the political parties' tribunal, according to Muluka, and he now says that he will comply with the court ruling once out.

"Iwapo mahakama itasema ni mimi ndiye katibu mkuu ni sawa, na ikisema ni yeye Mimi sitang'ang'ania ila nitaondoka nikafanye mambo mengine. Mimi Niko na maadili yangu.

(I am ready to vacate the position if the court rules in his favour. I will not stay behind to fight over the position. Instead, I will concentrate on other matters)," said Muluka.

Muluka who doubles up as a renowned political commentator was speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show, Tuesday morning.

He admitted that he was never elected to the post, but was rather summoned and allocated the slot after Osotsi was kicked out by party members.

"Yeye alipotolewa mimi niliitwa nikabiwa chama kimeona niko na maono mazuri. Ila yeye alienda kortini kupinga (he went to court after being kicked out and the position was given to me by party members)," he added.

The case is one of the reasons behind the tribunal's recent rejection of the party's attempt to expel Osotsi, over claims of disobedience to party laws.

Osotsi has been very close to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) since his nomination in 2017.
