The Changamwe Sub-county Administration team led by administrator Rachael Kavata and the area Ward Administrator Omar Mwinyikai on Friday hosted the County Executive for Youth Gender Sports and Cultural Affairs Munywoki Kyalo.
Others included Sports Director Jacob Onyango, Mombasa branch FKF Chairman Goshi Juma Ali, area MCA and community representatives for a tour of Bomu Stadium to assess its current status.
The visit saw the leaders discussing at length on ways in which the sports facility can be further enhanced to meet its intended objective of hosting FKF matches, and other football tournaments.
After successful deliberations, the team agreed to establish a technical committee comprising of the Sub-county Administration, the FKF chairman, three opinion leaders and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive report regarding maintenance of the facility and resolutions to emerging challenges being experienced.
