As rivals lock horns in the race for the vacant Migori County Senatorial seat, area Governor, Okoth Obado continues firing salvos at his party boss Raila Odinga.
The defiant Governor who has openly gone against his party's choice of Ochillo Ayacko as its presidential candidate has yet again attacked ODM after it emerged that the outfit is organising a huge campaign team for Ayacko.
"If their candidate is popular, why would they need a million-man campaign team to pitch tent in Migori? Why would it be necessary to mobilize people and the resources to campaign for a popular candidate?," asked Obado as quoted by the Standard.
While remaining defiant over his choice of a candidate, the Governor warned against being intimidated into supporting a candidate he claims was not democratically selected to fly the party flag.
Last week, Suna East MP who is also ODM's Director of Elections, Junet Mohamed warned that anybody who goes against the wishes of the party will be dealt with.
And with the Orange party readying itself for a ferocious contest, it only remains to be seen how Obado will handle the heat from ODM which is unrelentingly gearing up to campaign for Ayacko.
