Speaking on Sunday after a church service at the Calvary Chosen Centre in Thika, Bishop Ngari, popularly known as Gakuyo, claimed that remarks by the two politicians have adversely affected his company.

"I want to tell Kenyans that political interference in Ekeza Sacco started in the year 2016. A video which has been doing rounds on social media of former Kiambu governor warning people against investing with Ekeza Sacco has greatly contributed to the troubles witnessed at the Sacco," said Gakuyo.

In the video which Gakuyo is making reference to, Kabogo urges Kiambu residents not to invest with the Sacco, noting that the Bible also warns against get-rich-quick schemes.

"I want to tell you today, don't put your money in Ekeza. You will be putting your money in a hole...Even the Bible warns against accumulating wealth quickly," said Kabogo.

On the other hand, Gakuyu alleged that Kuria sent goons to cause chaos at Calvary Chosen Centre church and the Sacco's offices.

He further alleged that Kuria and Kabogo were tainting his name in order to gain political mileage ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Gakuyo reiterated that his business is genuine, adding that he has no intention of defrauding Kenyans.
