Reigning Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia are seven points clear at the top of table heading into this weekend’s matches.
Sofapaka are in second place with 56 points but have played one game more than the top three sides while Bandari sit 11 points behind in third.
Gor have suffered only three defeats this season with their last league loss coming against KCB on January 19, 2019.
Victory over Sofapaka on Sunday would see them increase the gap to 10 points with five games to go and end any hopes of 'Batoto ba Mungu' winning the league.
This is the date K'ogalo can secure the title at the earliest.
The reigning Champions would retain the league title if they win against Nzoia Sugar on Wednesday but must finish off Sofapaka first.
Four matches would be left for the former KPL champions, so even if they win all of them, they would have 68 and K'ogalo would reach 69 with a win in midweek.
On the other hand, Bandari have an inferior goal difference of any side in the top six and could cause an upset if they win all their last six matches.
This would extend the Green army celebrations untill the Mashemeji derby on Sunday 19.
Bandari would reach 70, and K'ogalo could reach 72 with a win against their rivals Ingwe to clinch the title.
Bandari draw or loss against Chemelil on Tuesday would give Gor the title before derby day.
