Governor John Nyagarama has welcomed the idea to have elders and technocrats advising him on sensitive leadership areas to help uplift livelihoods of his constituents.
On Friday at North Mugirango, ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire blamed the governor for maladministration perpetuated by Nyagarama's leadership, advising the second term ODM governor to at times seek help.
"You cannot have monopoly of knowledge to everything. At times seek help from elders and technocrats. You may not be stealing but your boys are looting behind your back," Bosire said.
From ballooning wage bill to corruption and nepotism, Nyagarama has struggled to put the government in order, often angering locals who accuse him for sluggish development.
But in response to Bosire's suggestions, Nyagarama said he's ready to listen to people for him to improve and make Nyamira a better place in future.
"Just like Bosire has said, I am not perfect because I am a human being too. I don't have problems listening to elders. Bosire kindly take charge and help me reach out to people," he said.
Last week, Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo accused Mr Nyagarama of overseeing irregular recruitment of people to the county, further adding that the county is struggling to pay recurrent expenditure.
Mr Nyaribo also demanded releasing of Human Resource Audit Report which was done in 2018 but whose findings still remain anonymous.
