The two leaders are now calling upon residents of the region to reject the Luo political kingpin as succession politics continue to take centre stage in different meetings.

They spoke to mourners at the burial of Fanice Anyango, the mother to Mr Festo Fadamula who vied the Mumias West parliamentary seat in 2017.

According to the leaders, Raila is a traitor and he does not deserve their support anymore. The leaders claimed that the NASA leader used and dumped them for his political gain following the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The leaders urged the locals to unite in order to forge the way forward for the Luhya community. They said without unity they were destined to fail in their quest to take over the presidency in 2022.

“It is time for western to unite and forge its destiny. We need to agree on this,” the Ford Kenya leader said.

He also said that his reunion with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa is a clear indication that they mean well for the community.

They sentiments were backed by Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest.
