Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has reiterated that he stands high chances of succeeding his boss Governor James Ongwae in 2022.
Maangi said Kisii residents will elect him as governor in 2022 given his good track record for the years he has served as a Deputy Governor.
He maintained that he has a good relationship with Kisii residents hence he will easily win the county's top seat in 2022.
"When the time comes, I won't struggle too much because I have proven to be a leader. Those who will be seeking the gubernatorial seat will get a run for their money," said Maangi.
Maangi assured that Kisii residents will get more development throughout Governor Ongwae's second tenure.
He challenged residents to shun politicians who have been dwelling more on propaganda instead of prioritising development.
"My appeal to the people of Kisii is that they should ignore few individuals eyeing political seats in 2022 who are out to spread propaganda about the county leadership," said he said.
He was speaking on Sunday when he joined worshipers for a church service at St. Ignatius Endego Catholic Church in Magenche Ward, Bomachoge Borabu Constituency.
