The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has issued an advisory to travelers and the Kenyan public in which it said that the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Terminal 2 is set to be closed.

The terminal will be closed Thursday 4 and Saturday 6 from 1730 hrs to 2100hrs and 00:00hrs to 0900hrs respectively.

All flights handled at the terminal will now be handled at Terminal 1 D, Terminal 1 E for international arrivals and Terminal 1 B for international departures.

It was not immediately clear why the terminal is set to be closed but there is speculation that the move is to allow for maintenance.
