Kibabii University in Bungoma County conducted a prayer session on Monday, January 21, 2018 to seek for Gods intervention and protection following a series of comrade deaths.
At the beginning of this month, the University woke up with the most devastating news as it was pained in burying three students who passed away in circumstances that shocked many comrades at the University.
During the prayer session organized by the Students Governing council led by the students' president Willy Chiveli, the students asked God to protect them this year.
During the prayers, Chiveli asked students to be very vigilant and prayerful especially as the students embark on this semester's examinations.
The Deputy Dean of Students Noel Malanda urged students to be more spiritual and seek God's providence at this hour of need.
The recent death rate raised eyebrows as to factors contributing to the increasing loss of life amongst students.
Since 2014, the University has experienced loss students in their 3rd ,4th, and 2nd year, leading to this event for prayer.
