Kisii residents have mourned the death of a Rhumba legend Mose Fan Fan who collapsed and died in Nairobi on Saturday.
Fan Fan was in the country for music tour when he met his death at the age of 75.
Locals who loved his music led by Amos Momanyi and Jared Ombaki said the death of Fan is a blow to the rhumba music lovers.
"I learnt with shock the death of Fan whom I loved his songs such as Papa Lolo, Africa moto, Mama Yeye. He will be remembered for his efforts to keep rhumba music fans happy with his good music. May his soul rest in peace," said Momanyi.
Mr Ombaki hailed Fan Fan as determined musician who was always relevant in his musical career.
He pointed out some of the songs he loved which include; Nawa for you, Buka Bisengo, Papa Lolo.
"Kisii musicians should copy Fan Fan's style of doing his music. He was such a good song composer who will be widely remembered in the 'rhumba' music category," said Ombaki.
Another fan Ambrose Ongweso challenged upcoming local musicians to follow Fan Fan footsteps to remain relevant in the music industry.
