Police in Kisumu County are holding a man accused of defiling his daughter in Kokelo village, Riat area.
The suspect was apprehended while at his farm on Sunday in relation to the alleged crime where he reportedly impregnated the standard seven girl in the process.
Confirming the arrest, area Chief Milicent Ajwang noted that the arrest followed a revelations by the victim who reported to her mother last week that the father has been defiling her for the last two years, reports the Citizen Digital.
The area chief added that the girl's mother is also being questioned at the Riat patrol base over the same issue.
The victim has since recorded a statement over the incident and is set to undergo medical checkup.
The suspect is being held at the Akala Police Station, pending further probe before his arraignment in court.
