Police have put into custody the crew of two matatus using the Buruburu route for interrogation after a carjacking incident on Tuesday night.
The matatus were ferrying passengers from the city centre to Umoja and Buruburu when they were attacked by armed gangsters.
According to the police, the first bus was attacked near Burma market along Jogoo road.
The gang robbed passengers cash, rings, and other valuables.
The attackers then alighted along Jogoo road and attacked the second matatu.
They also robbed passengers before jumping out near Buruburu.
The carjacking incident is the latest in two weeks where passengers have been attacked and robbed in city matatus.
