Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna now wants young Kenyans trapped in the shackles of poverty to purpose to free themselves.
The controversial lawyer noted that young graduates and people living in slums have been subjected to a lot of pain by the the successive governments saying that a solution will only be found if Kenyans start a 'revolution'.
In a tweet on Friday, Miguna asked the youth to rise up and stand against the political class that is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"If you are an unemployed or underemployed high school, college or university graduate, or if you live in a slum in Kenya you have no reason to support @UKenyatta, @RailaOdinga, @WilliamsRuto or any of the other KANU Orphans. Stand up and fight for your rights, freedom and justice," he said.
The exiled politician said poverty had no tribe and urged people living in the country's biggest slums to unite and fight against oppression which was responsible for their low economic status.
"The residents of Kibera, Mathare, Korogocho, Mkuru wa Njenga, Kawangware and other slums come from all Kenyan ethnicities. Their material conditions have not improved in 55 years and will only improve WHEN the 49.9 million Kenyans stand up fearlessly and remove the oppressors," Miguna added.
The self-declared general of the outlawed National Resistance Movement of Kenya (NRM-Ke) is still in exile since the government has not returned his passport as ordered by the High Court in January.
