Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Thursday met Harambee Stars players in Egypt ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to begin on Friday.

The meeting has elicited a lot reactions on social media. 

A section of netizens claimed that Odinga was a bad omen to the team, adding that his visit meant poor performance to Harambee Stars.

The opposition chief was accompanied by Devolution SC Eugene Wamalwa, and Kenya's Ambassador to Egypt Joff Otieno during the tour.

The ODM Leader conveyed the greetings of President Uhuru Kenyatta to the team.

Team captain Victor Wanyama appreciated Odinga for the support he has continued to accord the team.
