The senator has now claimed that soon Kenyans will elect Chinese into Parliament after it emerged that they have found their way into Gikomba Market.

The senator, who has been vocal on matters of national interest, said that the foreigners are everywhere in the country has denied Kenyans many business opportunities.

He asked the national government to put in place laws to curb the influx of foreigners into the country in the near future.“I predict that we will soon elect a Chinese MCA. This is how it begins,” he tweeted.

The son of the Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, Raila Junior has also expressed shock following the revelation that the Chinese have not found their way to the market.

According to Raila’s son, Kenyan traders risk being rendered jobless if the government doesn’t bar the Chinese from conducting trade in the country.

He opined that some of the foreigners are not engaging in what locals would have done to earn a living thereby increasing the level of competition for no good reason.

“There is no way small scale traders in Gikomba are going to have a healthy competition with Chinese around,” he said.
