Mutua, who has been a thorn in Kalonzo's flesh, is now re-energized to continue giving him sleepless nights ahead of the race to State House when that time comes.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader has affirmed that he will be on the ballot when that time comes.

The ruling gives him more reasons to go for the top seat, which Kalonzo is also eyeing.

In its decision today morning, the court pronounced that Mutua was elected in a free and fair manner on August 8, 2017.

Mutua moved to the most astounding court of the land in June, after the Court of Appeal invalidated his re-election.

The decision implies that Mutua will stay in charge of the county for the rest of the segment of his term as the case can't be tested any further.

Ndeti, on the other hand, will go to the drawing board and rethink about her next move after suffering the loss at the Supreme Court.

She claimed that she defeated Mutua until the ruling was made.
