Duale says that it will be in order if fresh investigations are carried out by the relevant parliamentary committees on the illegal sugar.

Speaking in Garissa Town on Tuesday, the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly said that the only way to get concrete answers on contraband sugar is by conducting the fresh probe.

Duale maintained that a report on contraband sugar that was rejected two weeks ago was shallow with many gaps.

The MP said that Kenyans deserve to know the whole truth concerning the illegal sugar.

"We cannot re-introduce a report that was rejected on grounds of having many gaps," he said.

Duale maintained that  MPs were not influenced to reject the report.

He said that they rejected the report for the interests of Kenyans.

Duale alongside other MPs has been on the spot after they rejected the sugar report.

There were reports that some MPs were bribed to shoot down the sugar report.

The bribery allegations are under investigations even as some MPs call for re-introduction of the report.
