Sarah Kerubo, a woman from Nyabworoba village in Marani, Kisii County has explained why she burnt her father-in-law with hot cooking fat.
Kerubo who fled from her home after the Wednesday evening incident in fear of a beating from the public accused Alloys Kerage of for harassing her sexually.
"I was cooking when he came drunk and started harassing me to give him money. I told him to wait and this is when he started grabbing my hands touching my breasts," she said.
She said she was angered by Kerage's decision to touch her.
"It is an abomination for him to touch my breasts because I'm married to his son. I respect him but, he seems to be attracted by me. I poured hot cooking fat on him in self-defense since I didn't want people to see him touching me," she added.
Kerubo maintained that she didn't do any crime burning him because he is the one who started trouble.
"He started the drama and I had to teach him a lesson. I don't care if I can't be allowed to go back to the homestead," she noted.
