A petition challenging Kiambu County Deputy Governor James Nyoro from reshuffling embattled Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu's cabinet has been withdrawn.
The petitioner, Marion Njeri Njoroge in her application dated 16 October 2019 dropped the case.
Through her lawyer Waithaka & Co. Advocates, Njeri asked the court to drop the case.
The application quoted by K24 Digital was presented at the Employment and Labour Relations Court and granted by Justice James Makau.
Njeri had moved to the court seeking to stop Nyoro from reshuffling Waititu's cabinet in September this year.
The Kiambu deputy governor assumed gubernatorial responsibilities after Waititu was barred from accessing his office in Kiambu by the court in July this year.
The county boss is currently embattled in an Sh588 million graft case.
His numerous applications to be allowed back into his office have been declined by the court which noted that this will not be perceived well with the people who elected him.
Waititu has been pleading with President Uhuru Kenyatta and DPP Noordin Haji to drop his case but it has been in vain.
President Uhuru in a past event revealed that not even his friend or family member will be spared if linked to graft.
